LITTLE FAMILY ADVENTURES

Make a little adventure memory book

Collect a few ordinary moments without creating a new daily task.

← All grown-up guides

Start with one page

Use a notebook or a folded sheet of paper. A grown-up writes the date, the place, and one detail: a sound, a favorite object, or a funny phrase. You do not need to include a photograph or your child’s full name.

Let your toddler contribute their way

They might choose a crayon color, point to a picture, make a sound, or tell you what Teddy did. Write their exact words when you can. If they are not interested, your own observation is enough.

Use three easy prompts

Today we went… One thing you noticed was… I want to remember… Leave any prompt blank. For an at-home day, the place can be the living room and the discovery can be a very tall block tower.

Keep it manageable

Add a page when something catches your attention rather than aiming for every day. Store loose pages together in a folder that an adult manages. Keep small fasteners, glue, and cutting tools away from toddlers.

Make looking back part of the fun

Read one old page together. Revisit a favorite place or repeat a pretend game if your toddler wants to. The book is a collection of shared moments, not a record of achievements or a comparison with other children.
