12 months+Thinking & solvingLittle handsPretend play
Joining, separating, and balancing big blocks gives little hands practice coordinating movements. Figuring out what fits and what falls makes space for experimenting, spatial thinking, and trying again.
Start with a two-block tower. Take turns adding one block, then make a little garage for a toy vehicle. Use words like on, under, taller, and beside as you build.
Let the play grow with them
Offer just a few pieces first. Later, invite your child to invent a bridge or copy a simple arrangement; there is no need to build the picture on the bag.
A no-shopping version
Stack a few sturdy, empty food-storage containers together.
